Actually, if you use the symbolism in the Book of Daniel as a "decoder ring" for Revelation (they both use the same symbol sets only Daniel explains what they mean), it tells you exactly what Revelation is talking about: the fall of the Roman Empire and the rise of Christianity. I had a minister friend who spent years researching it and wrote a very good book on the subject.
If you know anyone waiting for Christ to "come again" based on Revelations, then tell them they missed it by about 1000 years.
