I wrote a thank-you note to Ernie Fletcher for being part of a united front of governors (of course hoping that he will remain part of that united front). Every little bit helps.
And yet...I wonder what more to do. I can't go down to the white house and riot all by myself. One person's sacrifice is meaningless if people don't know about it. Something has to happen...some godawful martyrdom or something...to get people to do something real. We can do it. There's more of us than there are of them. But people would die, and then we'd have to rebuild the government. And for all that we are connected these days, we aren't connected enough to get a coherent plan together. We need a Postman. Or someone like him.
