So, on the way down to Dragon*Con, we saw a billboard with the words, "Jesus Saved My Wife.com". (It may inspire a song.)

I just looked it up. One of those placeholder search pages. Prominent in the Most Popular search terms are "Interracial Dating", "Russian Brides", "Older Women", and "Wife Swapping". Oh, and "Black Dating" and "Africa Travel" were right up together.

Have you found, or gone looking for, any good goofy web pages lately?

www.whatjeffkilled.com and it looks like www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com is down, but it was a goody.

I don't know about goofy signs, but as we were driving from Kentucky to Iowa, we saw some amusing and Burmashave-like advertising along the side of the road. It was as we passed through a county in Illinois that seemed to have an anti-gun control campaign, so there would be a little rhyme over 4 signs and then one for their website. Here's a link to their page on their signs: http://gunssavelife.com/GSLife/burma/burma.html (http://gunssavelife.com/GSLife/burma/burma.html).

Oh, jeez. I saw those when I went out west in February. Freaky, weird-ass things.

Definitely! I was amused as we were driving though.

It sounds like what you found is a scraper site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scraper_site), though I don't want to check from work for fear of triggering content filters.

What! Don't they know that miscegenation is a sin? How dare they try to tie that to Jesus!

I once saw, off of the Freeway in central California "The Lighthouse Church" directly across a street from "the Reefs bar & grill"

I still giggle about that.

Or the marquee of another Church: "A life of sin begins with one small step/parking in back"

What were they thinking?

Why not. They've tied worse than that to him with less evidence.

Personally, I'm pleased to see inter-racial couples. It means that ignorance is falling away, despite certain parties best attempts to keep it in place.

True enough.

Hell, I didn't even know miscegenation was illegal until my mother mentioned it during one of our conversations. Which you can take to mean one of many things: our schools are very shoddy at teaching our history, or I have a very poor imagination to not even realize that people would legislate that.

In my defense, though, I'm not the only one who didn't realize that.

Heh, have you head of [livejournal.com profile] wtf_inc or the sister community, [livejournal.com profile] goatse_request. The latter could probably help you out with this, as their job is to look for all the oddities of the internet.
