My friends, it can no longer be denied... We live in dark times.

But I would remind you that this Nation and this World have faced times of darkness before. Some lasting years, some lasting generations, some lasting ages.

It is the nature of things. Even the brightest of days must give way to the darkest of nights. But no matter what form the darkness has taken in days past, one thing has always remained true...

We, as a race, have survived.
And so we shall again.

Even the crying infant shall not remain fearful forever, and so shall the fear that has allowed darkness to swallow the light of hope we hold so dear one day pass.

Until then, remember that even in times such as this, the life we have been given is a precious gift, and if truly you value it, then use every moment you've been given to use the words of the elder hypocrite as a weapon against the hypocrite of today;

Be a Point of Light.

Indeed. And since it takes two or more people - barring mirrors or really bad crosseye factor - to see eye to eye, this is a group effort and therefore clearly a conspiracy. Couple that with the sedition of having this discussion publicly, and the thoughtcrime of even considering opposition to it, and we've achieved Authoritarian Hat Trick.
