First, the song, a tender ballad about life's changes. Not.

Second, it's here! iTom 2.0: Transitions is now available for only $8.99, including the most recent thirteen iTom songs and a bonus track, not available anywhere else -- a little thing called "An Ecclesiastes For Rose". I haven't finished the HTML interface yet, but that's coming soon.

And I'm nearly caught up with a bunch of other stuff, finally finally finally, just in time to begin iTom 3.0: True Love Waits.

Nope, sorry, buddy. But we'll talk. Actually, e-mail me with a phone number, and I'll get back to you after lunch.

Not sure yet. A few ideas are bouncing around inside my head, but I'm a little too distracted to work on it before I get back from Louisville Sunday, I think. May not be ready until next week (as a free download, of course).

That is truly disturbed, Tom.

I am amused.

I love Roger Zelazny.

Are you going to have this collection available at the show tomorrow?

So do I. Nice if the song had anything to do with it besides the title. ;)

And, yep. I'll be burning them later today.

Great! My daughter Rose (Ooo, Tigger! from last year...) and I will be there...

Just listened to starlight & saxophone for the first time... Well done, sir! Very polished and well written.

Any plans to re-produce it with tighter production values? The instruments seem a bit tinny/flat, and this could be even more beautiful.

Oh, jeez. :) First, thanks for the kind words -- glad you like it! Second, short answer, yes. I'm slowly bangin' together Sounds Familiar, a studio re-recording of nearly everything on the first two cassettes. There are numerous... interesting audio artifacts on both the "moldy oldie" version on my Free Stuff page (done with a 4-track cassette recorder in, jeez, 1990 or so) and the version on DigAComp. In the intervening years, I believe I've gotten to be a lot better at arrangement and instrumentation, and I now have a full arsenal of very good instruments. I also have a sax player at hand if the MIDI articulation doesn't give me what I want.... ;)

Two things, the silly first.

It took several seconds for me to think of "True Love Waits" as anything other than "Oooh, he's going to do an entire CD as an homage to Tom Waits." I thought this, and I'm not even a fan of Mr. Waits!

Secondly. I...I want An Ecclesiastes for Rose. But I don't know if I want the CD. *sobs quietly* I hate you sir!

First, you're not precisely wrong. ;)

Second, bwahaha! I'll probably put it up for listening at MySpace in a few weeks. But, yeah, I think I'm gonna keep this track exclusively to iTom 2.0 for awhile.

G.G. Allen will be pleased.

Well, probably not. Nothing ever pleased him, but he loved him some Waits.

Nope. The bonus tracks there were readily available, and I think both still are.

Well, this tells me that I will be adding to my Tom Smith Collection when I see you are MarsCon in a month. And if you are not there, then I guess that I will have to order it online after the con. :-)

At this point, I will not be at MarsCon. I'll let you know if that changes, but don't count on it.
