Molly Ivins Dies
Jan. 31st, 2007 09:13 pmTerrible, terrible sadness. One of the greatest voices of the people, Molly Ivins, has passed away, succumbing to breast cancer at the age of 62. Oh, we will miss you, Molly. Wherever you are, say hi to Ann Richards for us, huh?

Amita, ave atque vale.
I've tried to think of my favorite line of hers, but I can't narrow it down.

The politics won't be the same without her.
Total shock

Date: 2007-02-01 12:40 pm (UTC)Molly Ivins completely won me over when she so accurately desrcibed either Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson as a Shi'ite Baptist.
That was years ago.
Today, I would say the more accurate appellation is Wahabi Baptist....

Homage to Molly
