Well, at least this time I'm not doing tech support. ;)

Very, very light posting the next few days. I've been travelling, and the iTom song for both this past week and this coming week (along with other stuff I've been trying to finish for a few weeks now dammit) has been put on hold and I'm trying to get everything done I swear to Cthulhu I am but I haven't had the time or space to set up my stuff and the internet connectivity has been spotty and now I'm on frickin' dial-up and driving yesterday involved getting caught in two traffic jams from incredibly bad accidents and getting sent seven miles west instead of east and getting caught in construction and not being able to turn around for that seven miles and just being caught at a drawbridge and not being able to find the right roads even though I'd run out of Florida and even more frickin' construction and goddamn Spy Hunter players in my lane in the rain at 80 mph and a bus driver who apparently had to demonstrate how much bigger his dick was and gaaaaaaaah.

I hope your weekend is okay...?

Weekend...

Relaxing in many ways, listening to (and capturing) the concerts broadcast from the UK filk convention.

Thinking about doing the first run thru the taxes tonight while a football game is on, taking breaks at the interesting points (commercials).

Probially doing more audio tape editing (3 tapes down for the weekend, one more to go.)

Busy as hell, but it's paying off. :) Currently sitting in the basement with my son, trying to use use Weird Al videos to distract him from the fact that I have a laptop on my lap, with limited success. (He just pressed the space bar right there, but I was gonna press it anyway, so it doesn'

Sorry you're full of travelly suckness.

To tell the truth, things have been better. I seem to be trying to get an abcess on my back incision, and my mother spent another fun night in the hospital. Other than that, I am taking whopping doses of antibiotics and doing my best to avoid anything related to the Superbowl.

Hope your vacation improves.

Bitter cold, back ordered musical stuff, and another year of decay for me.

I notice you mentioned Florida. Were you caught up in all that rain and crap in central FL? I have a friend in Port Charlotte that got a metric assload of rain dumped on him Friday.

On a lighter note my wife made biscuits and gravy for me today. Yum! ^_^

Actually, we were nowhere near any of that stuff. Drove south of where it hit, now north of where it's likely to hit again. I got rained on a little yesterday, but that wouldn't have been a problem except for other drivers.

And I see it's -1° up in Ann Arbor. Which is the biggest reason I'm not there now. ;)

-1? That's not cold! "When my nipples are like diamonds then I'll call you!" ;-)

It's shame my friend in FL just moved recently. (Helped him move last month.) He hasn't had time to set up his weather station yet otherwise we'd have some good local data on that storm.

Oh and if anybody asks you to help move an Atomichron (http://www.ieee-uffc.org/freqcontrol/atomichron/automichron.htm) say no.

I've been re-visiting ChamBanaCon 1991 this weekend. The Saturday night open filk in particular, getting it re-digitized (from DAT to portable sound card (the M-Audio thing)). Found Dave Alway playing his dulcimer at 3 hours and 45 minutes into the tape at soon past 2am. Another one to get to Pete, (peteralway). Also found a couple of instrumentals by bass player Jack McKenty and a great jam by The Allen Street String Band (who by Google, just did a re-union concert in Springfield, IL).

I'm leaving shortly to play a NERO mod day. Layers, lots and lots of layers, we're talking onions here. For once, it's a good thing I play a heavy makeup/costume character. Oh well, with any luck I'll get to beat on something so the trip shouldn't be a total waste. ~_^

Helped with my sister's photojournalism project (in the -2 windchill on the river!), went CD shopping, and went ice skating for the first time in 10 years. I didn't fall down. This is me being shocked about that.

Now I'm getting ready to go to my dad's house to watch the Super Bowl...Go Colts Go!

Getting ready to (hopefully) completely avoid the superbowl by being home and working on sewing projects. Also digitizing my entire music collection. I am still considering going to do my grocery shopping during the game, since the stores are nice and quiet then. *sigh* Peace at Kroger...

I didn't know you were in Florida. If you were near Orlando, and if I wasn't still recovering from having to babysit our weatherman during our marathon freaking coverage of the band of tornados that crossed the state Friday, I would have been glad to take you to Bubbalou's for some decent, real barbecue. And drop those DVD's I made of "Heroes" in your lap, instead of mailing them next week (I swear I'll do it next week, I swear...)

Well, there's a chance for the BBQ when you're back for OASIS...

Well, I helped my sister move most of her and her 2 boys' stuff out of her monster-in-law's house yesterday. Luckily the wind didn't pick up until we were finished and Dad and Wes were there to carry all the heavy stuff. I have to do more work on Senior Design. I can not wait until March 17th.

Now I'm just hanging around the house waiting for some friends to show up (now 3pm instead of 1pm) and hope to hell Ian doesn't have to go into work today. (he manages a pizza shop).

MY weekend is going great. Would you want to hurt me if I said that I was thoroughly entertained by the tale of how your weekend has been going?

Sorry your weekend has been so miserable. Did you at least manage to do what you went down there for?

Our weekend? We live in an uninsulated hundred year old farmhouse with temps below zero and winds up to 45 mph. We've got water pipes that have managed to freeze even as we kept them running. This is not my definition of fun.
