New iTom sometime tomorrow. The past few days have had a little more Real Life than I'd like, and I'm trying to finish up a number of things while getting my brain back on track.

Fortunately, one good thing for sure -- me, Anne, and Les are going to see Christine Lavin tonight at The Ark. Yeah. Haven't seen her in a few years. And we're gonna show Anne how to play Munchkin. And I got the newest add-on for Band In A Box, and it sounds fantastic -- lots of new potential. So I guess things are okay after all.

How's your weekend going?

Hey Tom.

For the first time ever, my podcast won't have a weekly iTom. It has always been 2 songs from the fump, (the ones most recently released, (this week it's First of May and What Your Parents Think Your Music Sounds Like (live)) and the iTom song of the week. Let's hope you get the song up early in the morning, because I record the show at 11AM. Hell, I'm not even sure if my show's even broadcast anymore on the FBC...Maybe it's broadcast at a different time. Oh well.

I am truly sorry, but I'll save you the trouble and sweating and tell you that it will not be ready by 11:00 tomorrow. I'm beginning to wonder if it'll be done by tomorrow night, although I'm actually reasonably sure of that. I should have the new one by Thursday, though, and that'll be another album. :D

Friday, work, shopping (food for the first time in 3? weeks), cooking dinner. Today, cooking (2 lasagnas to freeze 75% of them) and cleaning (laundry, bathrooms, bedroom). Tomorrow, brunch with a friend in town from Seattle and recovering from all the cooking and cleaning.

We spent the day today digging a very long 18" deep trench so that we can run electricity from the house to the very-much-NOT-attached garage. I know the house is old (built just pre-1900), but why would anybody in Michigan ever want a garage that isn't, at most, a very short walk from the nearest door?

Now I'm watching the Red Wings lose (1-0 at the end of the first) and trying hard to stay conscious.

Was the garage perhaps built originally to house horses and a buggy?

I doubt it. It's quite small. It also seems to be a bit newer than the original house... possibly built the same time as the addition (which I believe was in the 60's).

This weekend had been excellent so far - Today my sons (ages 12 and 3) and I went out for our annual "Free Comic Boko Day" outing, then came back home and ate omelettes for lunch, and now we're reading our new comics as it rains outside. Let's hear it for simple pleasures!

Something brand-new for me today! I .... ::drumroll:: ... just came back from taking my new(ish) camera for a walk around town. Artsie shots of old stone walls, wonderful captures of spring blossoms, a couple of cultural/historic landmarks, that manner of stuff.

Now all I have to do is figure out if I have can find the cords for downloading ..... ::whistles absentmindedly::

Hey, enjoy Christine Lavin... I've only seen her in concert once, but it was fabulous.

I'm in Kansas City for four days, visiting friends I hadn't seen in four years. Yesterday, Spiderman 3 at an afternoon matinee (no lines!), then Peter Mayer (folk singer from MN) in concert last night. Today was for sleeping late and tonight there's a party so all the people I want to see are coming to me so I don't have to chase all over town going to them. :-)

I should've brought Munchkin with me... I need to add it to my standard "things to take when travelling" kit.

Have a wonderful weekend, Tom!

Really good. I got to see a friend graduate from University of Central Florida yesterday. Taking them out to a dinner and a movie at Universal Studios (Its a deal they offer) to attempt to see Spiderman 3.

Spending the rest of the of the week relaxing in Florida before I head home to record the NYC house filk.

Say hi to Christine and hug her for me; I have seen her live show at least two or three times now, if you count seeing her with the other members of Bitchin' Babes once, and have even had the pleasure of getting invited on stage to perform with her as part of her Sensitive New Age Guy Chorus (along with my Trained Pet Guitaristâ„¢,[info]gorgeousgary) I just wish her funny-music-to-serious-music ratio was weighted just a bit more to the funny side, but that's just me. And I love the way she interacts with her fans before and after shows, even to the point of painting their nails or sharing photos and recipes and stuff. She niiice lady.

As for my weekend, nowhere near as interesting, except for visiting the neighborhood fanboy ghetto comic book shop and watching two little boys fascinated as a local artist drew Spider-Man for them, and scarfing up all the Free Comic Book Day goodies I could lay my hot little hands on. The Songbird is still in Ireland with her mom, won't be back until a week from tomorrow. And sometime this weekend I have to do more of the housework I've been sadly avoidant about. Sigh....Sorry, just feeling kinda isolated about now.
