Word from philfoglio is that his lovely wife kajafoglio is in the hospital with a recurrence of Crohn's Disease. Send get-well cards, books, etc., to her care of Studio Foglio.

They are going to try to maintain the Girl Genius schedule. If something happens, now you know why.

One of my best friends has that obnoxious condition. Autoimmune disorders are never fun. I've seen Vanessa pretty damned miserable from Crohn's.

Although malnutrition and a higher incidence of colon cancer are problems with Crohn's, it's usually quite treatable. The flareups are rather ... unpleasant.

oh damn...my nephew has Crohns. My sympathies and best wishes go out to her...and him too.
