Karl Malden Passes Away

Sadness. Actor Karl Malden has passed away at the age of 97. While he was probably best known as Lt. Mike Stone on the TV series The Streets of San Francisco (with a young Michael Douglas as his partner for four seasons), and for a whole lot of commercials for American Express Travelers Checks ("Don't leave home without them"), he also appeared in minor, unimportant, little films such as On The Waterfront, Patton, and A Streetcar Named Desire (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor).
