I have said since the suppresion of "The Phantom Edit" that there are two George Lucases. One is a businessman doing what businessman do in termso fo making money and protecting copyrights and acting like greedy idiots. The other is still a student filmmaker who really doesn't mind fan films as long as it's all about creating somethng new and precious the way he once did.
Today, I think that the student filmmaker is winning in his battle with the businessman.
Unfortunately, George will take the liberty of re-editing you films and re-releasing them as 'Special Editions" where inapproprite blaster shots are inexplicably added thus destorying the rougish streetwise quality of one the best characters turning him into some schmuck who is just too lucky for his own good!
