Probably a single-action would be preferred so you could avoid having to swing the cylinder out. Although it would make proper cleaning a bit of a challenge ... A DA revolver would work if you could remove the left side of the shell to open the cylinder.
Building one up around a taser would be more appropriate to spirit of the design. *bzzztt*
That said, I'll just appreciate them for the aesthetics.
