Audio Software Stuff
Jun. 12th, 2007 07:21 amWusik is having an extreme group buy. Basically, you kick in $1.95. If they get 150,000 buy-ins (they explain the math, and it is plausible, if not necessarily likely) between now and the end of the year... that's it. You get Wusikstation V3 (Windows version) and 2 GB of samples, a $100 value, for a buck ninety-five. Even if they don't make it, they promise a good discount.
And there's a new free program called Sonic Visualizer, for studying music files instead of just listening to them. Looks as if it has lots of potential.
Anything on your audio horizon?

Date: 2007-06-13 02:11 am (UTC)Oh, you meant regarding software? Lots that I want to get, but I think that the next serious purchase will be Digidesign's "Structure", their new sampler for Pro Tools. I've been needing a sampler, and one that fits into Pro Tools the way that Halion fit into Cubase would be perfect.
I want to get another 2 Gig into my Mac before the end of this year. But also on my shopping list are Digidesign's "Velvet" (electric piano), Native Instruments' "Akoustik Piano", and Arturia's "Prophet-V".
Incidentally, I downloaded Sonic Visualizer, but have yet to really play with it.
