Once again, Rachel is awesome.

One of the commenters at dKos says he wants her to be hosting Meet the Press. Oh god yes.

What Rachel misses is that for these people there's a major disconnect. What they mean to say is that FOR THE DEMOCRATS to use these tactics is unprecedented and corrosive to the legislative process.

Never mind that the Democrats told the Republicans back during the Bush years that the Republican overuse of things like reconciliation would make things worse. It has.

And it's one of the reasons we *aren't* going to see real "bipartisanship any time soon.

The Republican in general seem no longer capable of grasping the idea that they need to compromise or that disagreeing with them can be legitimate rather than evidence of being "up to something" bad.

It's not just one of the commenters at dKos. There have been queries of "Why isn't Rachel Maddow hosting Meet The Press?" pretty much ever since Tim Russert died. I don't know that I've ever posted anything to that effect, but I agree with the sentiment.
