I will not get into details; it's not anything I really wish to discuss.

But something happened this morning that will make it very, very difficult for this to be a bad day for me. And I hope your day is great.

What's everyone's weekend looking like?

Aw, c'mon, Tom, not even a hint? :^)

I have a weekend of Getting Stuff Done planned, including Buying Stuff. I need to get as much done as possible this weekend, because I have events scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday next weekend (there's this party in Lake Whitmore, maybe you've heard about it; and Sunday I'll be at the Zoo with a Flickr friend), and the following weekend I'll be in Minneapolis.

Not really anybody's business. The only hint is that someone did something very, very nice for me, completely out of the blue. So the best thing to do, I think, is to do something very nice for somebody else. That's my plan for the afternoon. :)

Saturday I'm taking some friends (and the girls) to the Frazier Museum and Sunday is for helping a friend move.

You are SO getting a phone call in about 5 minutes ::grin::

I'm gonna be busy as hell this weekend trying to finish up a new WQ song for the FuMP. And also cleaning the house.

Nice things are always good. I am going to get my ice cream maker today, and sometime this weekend, I will turn out my first batch of home made ice cream from "The Perfect Scoop". That will be my way of spreading sweetness and light.

:-)

Tootsie-frootsie ice-a cream-a!

Homemade ice cream is softly frozen awesomeness. Thank you for reminding me that I have a couple of ice bowls in the freezer waiting to be spun into service. At $6.00 a pint for the soy ice cream they sell 'round these parts, it only took 3 batches in the home machine to pay for itself completely.

I am having a party here tonight, the first party (other than kids parties)I have thrown in decades, and tomorrow is a birthday party for my youngest son.

A lot of busy work to have some fun. Have to go to the bank so I can pick up a preset to bring to my friend's baby shower on Saturday, then on Sunday I'm going to have a Reception/Birthday Party For Myself that I have to clean up for. Should be fun, but a lot of work involved.

Should be a nice weekend. I have to work tonight and in the morning. Rest of the weekend is looking clear.

Sabrina and I continue apace in making her fursuit and one for Dolly (pictures soon).

Sunday is Father's Day, which means I can be slug and eat food that's bad for me and watch auto racing (US Grand Prix this weekend).

Also have to get out and see FF2

I got a very nice hand written letter yesterday from a Manic Mondays fan thanking me for producing the show every week, along with a donation.

Totally made my day.

I'm planning on sending him a thank you letter this weekend.

Whatever it is, I'm glad to hear that someone I know (that you don't know me is completely beside the point) is having a good day. Happiness is a Good Thing and I'm glad you have a heap of it.

As for my weekend, I have a rehearsal tonight for the Macbeth parody I'm in and either tomorrow or Sunday I'll be hiking somewhere but other than that, I'm probably house cleaning and being a lazy bones. Not at the same time.

I had no plans for this weekend, besides cleaning/recharging. Then someone reminded me it is Father's Day this Sunday, so I get to spend a very crappy weather day (according to the forecast), when I prefer to be hiding out at home, instead doing the ton of run-around errands for my parents will have a list of ready for when I visit. I hate Hallmark holidays.

It should be a fairly sedate weekend for me. I have to come in to work on Sunday for monthly server maintenance (the users get so grumpy when I take them all down during the week ...). Other than that, I plan to putter around the house, hang out with my long-suffering wife, and then go visit my parents on Sunday afternoon after I finish at work.

Whatever made your day, congratulations.

It's fixin' to rain, and the barometric pressure changes are not playing well with my sinuses (which are getting over having a cold earlier this week).

I'm on day 3 of caffeine withdrawal (after getting back on the stuff for my little vacation back in May), and the guy in the next office is spending a lot of time on the phone (for business reasons)... so that's another headache.

But the weekend itself should be great. Games, people, and possibly even pizza. Plus, it's payday! So, despite the 2 problems listed above, I predict this pair of days will be plenty positive.

My weekend looks like stress. Because I suck at handling the insanity that is the Strawberry Festival. (wanna come sit on the lawn with me today?) However, I am starting to get the Penguicon Music track laid out in my head (your email is still in progress) and that is a VERY GOOD thing for June. :)

Going to my department graduation (I wasn't going to walk at all, because I have a B.A. already, so paying money to walk again didn't seem like that much fun. So I'm going to the little departmental one and skipping the big annoying one). Then driving about five hours to the parents' house, and seeing Indigo Girls with my sister, and possibly fitting in Fantastic Four 2. So aside from the part where I still can't walk on my ankle really, it's looking pretty good. :)

Yay for goodness - that happened with me too yesterday. It's Bike Week up here in NH, and I let some folks with a HUGE truck with PA plates get in front of me at the toll booths and they paid my toll to go through. Plus, I donated a pint of my finest red (blood).

Yesterday was my birthday, today is my Mum's. Tomorrow I'll be getting my first tattoo, and who knows what kind of trouble I'll be getting into afterwards. *naughty grin*

Sunday will be a quiet day of recovery, and remembering. I lost my dad in January, so this will be my first Father's Day without him. But I know he's still there. :)

Our cat is still missing, my car (hasn't even been paid off yet) needed $1200 in repairs, and I need a root canal.

This weekend starts, tonight, with getting caught up on CONvergence emails (if you've never been, you gotta go!) and playing "City of Heroes" on the Virtue server with a few friends.

You ever play CoH, Tom? If not, it's a Geek's delight ... especially the character creation process!

Then, tomorrow, it's more prepping for CONvergence and playing some tabletop RPGs.

Sunday: MORE CONvergence!

Sensing a theme, here? :)

Glad to hear you are having a good day Tom!!! Life is too short to spend it being sad I feel, and I try to look on the bright side of even sad times.
This weekend we are off to the Thousand Island Boat Tour in Kingston Ontario.
A major excitement for me is the fact that Dave and I will be back in the recording studio in July after a too long delay and we will hopefully have a new Dandelion Wine CD out this year.

Yesterday we signed papers that get us out of the "Will we actually buy this house" phase and into the "we're just waiting to close" phase.

And I helped two people with slings.

The day before, I saw a woman in the doctor's office who was wearing one of the most unsafe baby carriers I have ever seen...and gave her one of my handmedowns on the spot. A few hours later I saw her wearing her baby in it at the grocery store. The next day, the receptionist from the doctor's office thanked me for helping her, since the carrier had scared her too.

This weekend is one of those calm before the storm times. Next weekend is very busy, and the following Monday, we close, which will set off a veritable shitstorm of activity gettnig the new house ready for occupation.
