Third, I'm in the Ann ARRRbor News (on the front page of the dead tree edition, no less). And, as jrtom (a couple of threads ago) and Debbie G. (in e-mail) noted, I'm actually invoked by Reuters.

ARRR! Remember that, as of midnight, the official chanty for Talk Like A Pirate Day will be free, free, gloriously free!

*grin* I meant to tell ye about that this mornin' when I got the Gogle Alert (the only way I can keep up with this stuff...) but I've been too busy updating the Web site. We mention it here.

The Reuters piece is a bit of a cheat - the reporter appears to have cribbed it entirely from our site - but what the hell, any publicity is better than no publicity at all!

You know fandom has gone over into mainstream media when kid's programming (specifically, Noggin - Nickelodeon's preschool channel) is running Pirate programming all day tomorrow, to celebrate Talk like a Pirate day.

I heard the promos and almost fell over. I'll let you know if they play the theme song (I doubt it, but they keep surprising me...)
