So I'm dealing with a sudden spate of Real Life, and I'm trying to find the fricking time to finish researching and scribbling out the songs for the lovely idea Randy Milholland handed me, Herbert West, Re-Animator: The Musical, when I suddenly remembered:
This Saturday is 24-Hour Comics Day.
So what are you doing this weekend?

Date: 2007-10-17 10:20 pm (UTC)This weekend...back to New York for five-year HS reunion (which would have been interesting even before I was on TV), Saturday, then hopefully the Maryland Ren Faire on Sunday in time for the final moments of Last Weekend.

Date: 2007-10-17 10:34 pm (UTC)It does remind me, however, of my hopes that we might see more in the vein of a previous 24 hour gem, namely the continuing adventures of... duh duh DUH!!! the Waffle!
I mean really, think of all the classic storylines left to
abuseamuse us with:* The Dark Pancake Saga
* Civil Warm: the Reheating
* The Death of Supper-Man
* Infinite Homeworlds of Peril (with an order of Crisis on the side)
* The Shortstack Saga: the cloning of the Waffle!
... sorry. Went off on a roll. Not trying to butter you up or cheese you off. (grin)

Love remains within a heart that's dead
For love is blind

Date: 2007-10-18 04:20 pm (UTC)I'm still trying to sort out how I want to arrange things post-retirement. One friend suggested that I take three weeks off and just relax and see what my walking and sleeping hours evolve into.
My current story idea is completely stalled and I don't know whether to continuing to drive down that road or pull off, turn around and head down another one for a while.
One way that y'all might be able to help me--I am looking for a neologism for future biotech hackers that would be the equivalent of cyberpunk. I'd rather that it didn't contain "punk" in any form, but would have the same kind of "feel" to it.
These outlaws would be capable of doing something like causing velociraptors to hatch out of chicken eggs--time period is probably forty years or so in the future....
