I love Improv Everywhere. This is definitely in my top 5 favorites, but the Anton Chekov lecture and book signing is still the best.

You know, a lot of cities are recreating that today if you want to do it; [livejournal.com profile] vixyish has a lot of details in her latest posts.

I'm a huge fan of IE. One of my ex-cow-orkers apparently used to play with them (though I never did see her in any vids or pics). My favorite is still the fake U2 concert outside Madison Square Garden, although the McDonald's washroom attendant is also pretty good.

(I keep thinking that if I were them, I'd somehow get involved with the upcoming Anonymous vs. Scientology redux, scheduled for March 15 (L. Ron's birthday). I just don't know whether they'd be funnier skewering both sides, or joining with Anonymous to enhance (legally) their fun-poking at the cult.)

And TODAY is the day of the Nationwide Freeze! So far there are groups in Seattle, Portland, San Diego (who started it), San Francisco, Boston, Denver, Minneapolis, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, and somewhere in Iowa (the map doesn't say what city in Iowa) who will all be doing just what they did at 3:15 pm PST TODAY! :D

I saw the news report on the Portland one. Nothing happened.

Thanks! I wonder if we could organize something in SecondLife... oh wait. That's just people forgetting their avatars...

I participated in the DC Defenetrators No Pants DC Metro ride recently- it was a blast! I would have joined in with the freeze yesterday but have the flu, and being greedy, I don't want to share my germs with anybody. Unless you paid me first. Chocolate is always accepted.
We are considering a few other events...a kazoo concert, a swimming competition on grass, blowing bubbles, etc. I love doing completely unpolitical silly things in the nations capital, it is so refreshing!
As opposed to the usual political silliness they always do, of course.

I woulden't save time in a bottle...I'd have to empty out the Gin already in the bottle...

And everyone who was a kid in the 70s KNOW that ANYTHING worth saving MUST be saved in the most perfect storage receptical of all...

If I could save thyme in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is some basil and sage served with spuds lyonnaise
And some bread, just to share it with you
