The complete list. Which of these, apart from Ratatouille, did anybody actually see...?

Of films that got awards on the show tonight, I saw all of two. I've seen "Sweeney Todd" and "Juno." If I count films that had a nomination but no win, I get five. I also saw "3:10 to Yuma," "Enchanted," and "Transformers."

My town has one theater that doesn't get much for selection. I never get to see nominees until after the show airs. *sigh*

Me and my wife talked about maybe going to see Juno but we never got around to seeing it.

Maybe it because films are expensive so often we wait until they are DVDs and borrow them from friends or the library.

On Sunday we watched Michael Moore's movie Sicko on DVD.

Though at Christmas we did go to the Movies.

Me and my son saw The Chipmunks and though it wasn't a brilliant film we liked it.

Sweeney Todd and PotC:3 at the cinema
The Bourne Ultimatum and Transformers on iPod (from torrents)
(and Ratatouille of course, on DVD)

Many of the others haven't even opened yet in the UK, or have only done so very recently.

I was fortunate enough to see Once in the theater last summer. Had to drive an hour to see it, but it was worth the trip. (OK, I saw Hot Fuzz too, they were both worth it.) Not that my opinion is worth much, especially on teh internetz, but it's on my very short list of all-time favorite movies.

And I've been recommending Once to everyone I can since I saw it. It's been out on DVD since the week before Christmas, and probably has been marked down by now.

Go, Buy, Enjoy.

Hated Transformers, Loved Ratatouille, Liked Ultimatum quite a lot, 3:10 was excellent, and have been trying to find time to see Juno in the theater.

Watched Sicko just a couple days ago, I have no idea how impartial it is, but it gives very bright look at health-care in other countries, and it's pretty funny.

I saw "Once" and I was really happy to see it win Best Song. I had sung "Falling Slowly" at a Toronto housefilk just the day before.

I can honestly say that I've seen NONE Of this year's winners. And of the nominees, I've only seen three:

PERSEPOLIS, TRANSFORMERS & PotC:AWE

Mainly due to the fact that the closest movie theatre is over 40 miles from where I live.

Of those three I saw, I liked Persepolis the most.

I thought Persepolis was fantastic. I knew Ratatoullie was going to win, but I would cheered loudly if the former won the category. I like Pixar, but I'd LOVE to see a traditional animated feature beat them out.

Add me to the chorus for "Once." As a songwriter, I'd think you'd enjoy it, for having realistic scenes of making music.

And how cool was it for them to let Marketa come back and say her acceptance! I LOVED that!!

I don't think I've seen a movie rated R at a theater in five years. I only get to see first-run movies with my kids.

I want to see Sweeney Todd and Juno, but will probably (as usual) wait for the video. I'm not much into war movies in general. They're too much like real life, or something.

I saw "Sweeney Todd" and "The Golden Compass" (the same day, I think), and they each deserved the awards they won; Todd, art direction and Compass, visual effects.

Of the Best Picture nominees, I've seen "Michael Clayton", which I liked a lot, and "No Country For Old Men", which is well made, but incredibly dark and depressing. It's my least favorite Oscar winner since "Goodfellas". (And I thought Tom Wilkinson's performance in "Clayton" was far superior to Javier Bardem's in "No Country".)

Other nominated movies that I've seen include "Ratatouille", "Enchanted", "Sweeney Todd", "Charlie Wilson's War", "The Golden Compass", "PotC:AWE", and "August Rush". "The Golden Compass" and "PotC:AWE" were OK. All of the others were very good to excellent.

I saw Once, In the Valley of Elah, Ratatouille, The Bourne Ultimatum, Pirates 3, And Transformers.

Once is a wonderful movie, and if you haven't seen it yet, I envy you for getting to see it now. I was so glad to see it win Best Song. I drove home for me how much I'm used to the big flashy Hollywood productions, with huge drama and big action scenes, and how a really good movie doesn't need all that.

I haven't seen a single one of those films- except for Transformers at the theater. I've gotten totally disgusted at the prices and the audience at theaters, and rarely go any more.

Go see "Once"

Thumbs up for "Once" from me as well. An independent Irish film about the love affair between a young irish street busker and song writer and a young pianist and singer from Europe. Very well done and excellent music and the two actually wrote and performed the songs. As for the others, I saw Bourne Ultimatum as I am a fan of those films and Enchanted which I liked very much. Golden Compass was Ok but not fantastic and I plan to go and see Sweeney Todd. Transformers I bought on DVD and wished I hadn't :-P

I saw 30 minutes of "Enchanted" before my Asperger's nephew decided it was "sappy" -- loudly -- and I had to get him out of the theater.

"Ratatouille" was great. (Maybe someday Pixar will stop being frightened of women and invite one or two more of them into their films.)
