And what is that, you may ask? Why, it's the new album by The Charlatans. Getting a lot of buzz. And you can get it for free here (as well as pre-order the physical CD and enter a contest for a white vinyl copy).

Martha Tilson's Ropeswing (http://www.pondlifestudios.com/detail.asp?id=18) was free for three months when she debuted it on her website, and then it went free again. I don't know if it's currently free, but the price listing is one British penny, which is pretty damn close to free.

The album is lovely--the sort of sweet folksy music that hits you at home. I have her songs in my mp3 player mix, and I never skip anything by her.

Nine Inch Nails just released the first five tracks of the new cd for free download. But the ninions have temporarily broken the site (http://ghosts.nin.com).
