I was going to come up with a clever list of Peep sites, but it's already been done. I'm not sure what's more bizarre -- the fact that it seems to be a couple of years out of date, or that there's a constant influx of new Peep sites.

How are you celebrating Day Before Discounted Chocolate Day 2 of 2008?

I am going to church for hours (I'm in the choir, so we are singing at all three services) and then I plan on passing out and doing nothing for the rest of the day *L*

Ditto for me, but we only had 2 services.

They get shifted earlier that other Sundays, though, and I make my jokes about singing at "Oh-dark- hundred hours" time.

I don't so much "celebrate" it (my mother passed away on Easter 1989), but I will be having a "family" dinner at the home of a good friend, and "celebrating" the friendship.

My friend [Bad username or site: = @ livejournal.com] calls tomorrow (and its three brothers) the Feast of St. Mark Down.

Usually, Easter coincides with Passover, and we have moved from cleaning to eating. But this year, Passover is a moth form now, and that means we start cleaning today. Oh, joy.

Just finished breakfast of sausage, egg and cheese biscuits (Hot Pockets). Ham sandwiches for lunch, Marie Callendar slow roasted beef for dinner.

Slept in, lazing around reading my friends list, eating chocolate (my favorite tends to disappear before discounted chocolate day). Later I will ride my bike, and maybe put in some time working on the taxes.

Drive 40 miles to my in laws house to eat shortly after noon. Hope to not get into any arguments and leave by 5:30 to drive 60 miles to meet friends for dinner and then drive 25 miles back home.

It's my MIL's birthday today, so I got to skip the hectic siblings-and-their-kids-and-THEIR-kids 25 person dinner and instead, my husband, my daughter and I will be hosting my MIL for a birthday/Easter dinner.

The 13 year old decided she's not too big to hunt for eggs, so I'm waiting for her to get up and find them.

Dragging over to Mom's house for...we're not sure what yet...and dealing with family drama because my younger sister took off to South Carolina with her boyfriend instead of staying home for Easter...and not telling Mom until the day before. So no one's horribly happy today.

*facepalm*

I second the Washington Post PeepDiorama link- I have SO got to get my butt in gear and get peeps together in time! Missed the deadline this year, but boy was competition stiff! Not sure mine would've made it anyway.

Been up, been churched, (the disciples had it warmer, dagnabbit! BRRRRRRR), cook dinner, then I have work deadlines anyway. Some things just don't wait, even for the Easter Bunny...

Just puttering around the house, probably sorting stuff for taxes. No Easter candy in the house. Breakfast will be a ham, broccoli and white cheddar omelette, and I'll be roasting a nice chicken for dinner.

I'm sleeping. No celebratory feast. I'm exhausted from the surprise death of Richie, the spouse of [livejournal.com profile] msgeek. (On a subsidiary note, I really wish that I'd been able to get him to one of your shows, Tom. He was a jazz musician - his favorite instrument being vibes, but also guitar, xylophone and keyboards - and I think he would've gotten a kick out of your shows. He'd heard your music, but you're a great entertainer in person.)

Later on, I will render and burn to DVD the unadorned, un-remixed video of your OASIS concert, part 2. And the good recorded audio onto a CD in WAV form. Good luck in getting it to sync. And then I begin looking for the little tape with Part 1 of your show, once I get the raw video off the hard drive.

Hiding eggs around the house for Baby Two-Foot to find.

Plastic eggs, that is. With nonperishable contents.

When my dear grandmother passed away, when the youngest grandchild was around 18, we found an easter egg in her house that must have been a decade old. I won't be making that mistake.

When the baby's less of a baby, number the eggs you hide and intentionally leave a gap (e.g., hide 19 numbered 1-20 with no 12 or something)?

I'm home from singing in the choir. Other than arranging for the transfer of a motorized scooter-chair back to its owner (we were her ride yesterday), the rest of today is likely to be very laid back.

Columbus Dispatch has had a feature for the past few years called Pimp Your Peeps. The first year they did it one of my mom's fellow teachers tried it with her students. These kids worked thier butts off, first time in a while. I've heard the Dispatch did it again this year.

Me personally like them just slightly stale as in a day or too. though they work nicely on S'Mores. If you like the extra sugar overload.

Headed to breakfast at my favorite greasy spoon with a good friend, then back to the Minicon hotel where we had a panel on performing, in which the panel outnumbered the audience, and the two of us in the audience were both performers (or had been at some point)

Then I drove back to Iowa

Now I'm sitting on my couch trying to get caught up on LJ

A friend mentioned orange Cadbury eggs ... that may be enough to get me to run out for a few minutes
