House Concert In Orlando, FL This Saturday at 3:00 pm

This weekend, I'll be performing at the home of former Columbus fan Mark Wise. The address is:

Suggested donation: $10-15 a head. Kids are fine, as long as they're not too rambunctious. BYO snacks (be reasonable, this is somebody's house).

Start time is 3:00-ish, so showing up around 2:30 is probably a good idea. I'll be doing two sets, each about an hour, with hobnobbing, shmoozing, and general silliness. All CDs (including the iToms and the new FuMP one) will be $1 off.

So, can anyone actually make it?

The reason I ask is I've got a friend in Port Charlotte that I think might enjoy it but I don't know if I should suggest it or not.

Eeyup, but I went to a function in Philly last weekend, and huskiebear suggested we combine that trip with her jaunt to Photoshop World, which this year is at the Orange County Convention Center.

Honestly, I try to end up in Florida at least once a year -- this year I might be here a total of four times -- and I'm becoming more inclined to be a snowbird every damn Michigan winter.

last weekend, I would have jumped at the chance for a house concert with Tom. but I found out that my older cat is dying of cancer, and I don't want to be too far away, just in case :-/

so I am going to have to regretfully *SOBS* say that the odds are about 99% against right now.

Terribly sorry -- hugs and condolences. I'm hoping to be down here in mid-October for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. After ConClave (http://www.conclavesf.org/), before OVFF (http://www.ovff.org). And I'm strongly thinking of testing NecronomiCon (http://www.stonehill.org/necro.htm) while I'm down here. So there's that, plus if anyone wants to have a house show.
