Those wonderful psychos at Improv Everywhere are at it again:

Many thanks to FireDogLake for the heads-up.

Oh wow, that's beautiful! Little moisture in the corner of the eyes here ... it's just full of so much ... heart and love. Go Improv!

That's brilliant. Those parents and kids were gobsmacked, and then got into the whole thing after a while.

Yeah, that was the real NBC sportscaster Jim Gray. Between him, the Goodyear Blimp, the "fans" and the "jumbotron" this had to be an expensive stunt. But worth every nickel.

Tom, I literally had tears of delight and laughter running down my face! What a wonderful stunt to pull! It was both funny and sweet at the same time. I bet no one involved will ever forget it...heck, they got the GoodYear Blimp, fer gosh sakes!

It is really nice to see that comedy can be funny and sweet, and not just nasty and spiteful.

(this is your old friend Sandy, by the way)

Bwaha! How are you doin', m'dear? I'm sure Anne would say Hi, so I'll say Hi for her. Any chance you'll be at PenguiCon this weekend?

I'd like to, since they have an Artist's Alley this year (so I've heard) but it's Passover, and I'm helping my mother fix up her home for dinner. Gotta work on the house I'm selling too. Such is life! Say 'hi' to all for me!

My friends and I used to do stunts like that, much more low budget and low impact. One of our favorite running stunts was "Take A Classic Novel Out For Fast Food" where we'd pick a famous story, dress up as the main characters and go to a burger or pizza joint for a meal and try to remain in character. Best reaction we got was when we dressed up a van as a white whale for "Moby Dick." Tried ordering plankton at the drive-thru window, settled for french fries. I was dressed as Captain Ahab and tried to order fish & chips but the girl behind the register was giggling too much to press the right buttons.

Aw, that's really beautiful! I kind of kept waiting for it to be some huge let down for the kids, but it turned out to be a wonderful thing for them. That's awesome.
