Perfection. Coming out of my political science/election systems background, I had to stop the vid several times so I could double over at my desk and laugh.

That was priceless.

I certainly hope that everyone in the 'insignificant' states of N. Carolina and Indiana got out/will get out to vote today...I did. :-)

ETA: Saw this, had to add because I am so damn sick of all the damn polls...

Okay, I have to admit it - that was priceless. Normally I'm not nearly as enamored of Olbermann as you seem to be, but this ... this is a thing of beauty.

Obviously, no one was watching last night when [livejournal.com profile] royalcrow and I had to leave downtown Indianapolis because the line to get INTO the Obama rally still stretched over 4 blocks at almost 9 PM. I'd like to know who the hell is taking the damn polls that say Obama is behind in Indiana...

But wait, the popular vote doesn't count...or does it? I lost track. :)

Heh, if he loses Indiana, I'm sorry to say it'll be because of my region, Southern Indiana...85% of the people down here are white, older, blue-collar folk who look at the black man with the funny name and go 'uh nuh.'

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, spending a lot of time in northern Indiana as well...and believe me when I say it's a culture shock/time warp coming down south.

That is awesome to hear.

Then again, Indiana has more electronic voting machines, which cause me to go "GAHHHH".

The popular vote counts, except on odd numbered days, in a consecutively even numbered year. Unless the moon is in aquarius, then you may as well phone Nostradamus to see what his thoughts are.

I've got the Ouija Board. ;-)

I thought the Yankees being in the World Series factored in there somewhere.

No that only applies to elections in odd-numbered years divisible by 7...

Thank you for this, Tom. I had to repost, and give my own scattered musings on the election today in Indiana.

And think that I wish I weren't so cynical. :-)

Some mornings I regret that I have to wait til I get home to get my dose of Teh Keith. Normally the best political surrealism I can hope for before lunch is Joe Scarborough flip-flopping around trying to sound clairvoyant... Thanks for making my morning happy.

That would make a great middle act for a Gilbert & Sullivan show. I wonder if Teh Keith can handle that type of singing.
