Our long national $125+ on eBay nightmare is over. Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie is re-released on DVD today.

Anything else on disk we need to know about?

ETA: Rand Bellavia sent me a link to the upcoming DVD release of Simon Pegg's start, the BBC series Spaced.

Me and Kim's first "date" was a day when we were both sick and I brought over a copy of MST3K: The Movie (VHS, taped off of HBO) to watch with her. We ended up talking instead of watching it, and I lost it in my truck for a long time.

I still have the video, but we now have a 10-year relationship based on not watching it, and I figure if we ever DO, said relationship will immediately end.

I wonder if the DVD is safe...

Today is the release date for the third disk of Avatar: the Last Airbender: Fire (Season Three).

This is a Nickelodeon show that I've found strangely compelling. While the plot and characterizations sometimes go sideways into "teen hijinks" the overall story is very good and the animation excellent.

Ordered through Amazon because I don't make it to the mainland during prime shopping hours often enough to count on finding it.
