I could've spent the entire day just snarling about the political bullshit of the day -- Dubya's sacrifice of giving up golf (about which Keith will have a Special Comment tonight), and his reiteration that leaving Iraq will embolden the terrorists, and Rumsfeld saying we need a good attack to bolster Chimpy's reputation, and the shithead in Georgia selling "Obama 08" shirts with Curious George on them, and, and, and... I just couldn't be bothered.

But I am pleased this evening. For John Edwards has finally endorsed Barack Obama (here's some liveblogging with video), and Hillary Clinton has finally said either she or Obama is way better than John McCain.

I am trying to make some music for this weekend, at least two songs for posting here and one more for next Tuesday's FuMP. What are you doing in anticipation of your weekend?

I'm trying to figure out a cheap'n'easy way to get down to San Diego on Saturday to see Jonathan Coulton. His LA gig is at the House of Blues, Sunday night at 9 pm, not so good for early bird working hours on Monday. SD is at Lestat's coffee house, and his openers are the house regulars, [personal profile] ebenbrooks and [personal profile] caprine. Still, four clams per gallon of gas and I'd still need lodgings. I'm still working on that, I may give it a miss.

I am WSPA-less this weekend, I may roadtrip it up to the Twin Cities to hang out with babes ... of course I do not actually expect any babes to show up, but a boy can dream

I am supposed to have a very rainy weekend, so I plan on it to be the start of some very much needed cleaning and decluttering. And catching up on the new Dr Who season (I am now 4 episodes behind). Other than than, the usual weekend insanity.

I suspect the reason Duyba gave up golf is that he realized he sucks at it and couldn't blame anyone but himself for it.

As for this weekend I'm not sure what I'll be doing. I think I'll be drafted into helping out at work. Big project with lots to do. I should probably get started.

The Edwards endorsement is nice as a "This race is over, okay?" gesture, and I suspect one of the reasons he waited was to be able to make a statement like that. But I really wish he'd done it, oh, two months ago or so.

Funnily enough, I'm also trying to get a song ready for this weekend. Friday in particular. ^_^

This is one busy weekend coming up I gotta say. Between music, the U. District Streetfair, and cheese festival, Gromit! it's gonna be pretty exhausting! But in a good way.

I anticipate that this weekend will be spent in quiet contemplation of laminate flooring for the kitchen. And spending time with in-laws. And hopefully writing.

I may do some writing myself this weekend. Most likely on my LJ blog. There are a lot things I'd like to get off my chest concerning the state of politics these days among other things I want to talk about.

Also planning on playing World of Warcraft, maybe write some poetry too. I don't do it often but occasionally I the muse does hit. Like the one I recently wrote about my dog for example.

I'll take cake, please...

I'll be working at Zingerman's Mail Order this weekend, wrapping & packing cheese. So, in terms of prepping for the weekend, I'm enjoying the wings game.

My weekend will be trying to get some work done on the novel, working on the house so we can get it sold and finally move to the farm, and biking on the news bikes we got today.

Just saw the Special Comment. Every time I think he can't get any better, his words more powerful (and more painfully necessary) he just blows me away. It's amazing. I'm going to save this one.
