DVD Day

Big, BIG day. First seasons of Freakazoid! and Tiny Toon Adventures. Collectors' editions of War Games and Dark City. Shine A Light, the small-venue Stones concert film directed by Scorcese.

On the other hand, a lot of season sets for shows I don't much care about. Direct-to-video sequels to War Games and Lost Boys -- oh, yeah, lot o' clamor for those. And the wonderfully-named-in-the-Final-Fantasy-sense Dark Shadows: The Beginning, Volume 5.

Anything else we need to know about?

I think the Lost Boys set is being released to help hype the upcoming sequel film which I have heard is being made. But thanks for the tip on Freakazoid!; that's one I gotta get me.

I haven't seen one yet, but today's supposed to be the release day for the last DVD of Avatar: the Last Airbender. It's Disc 4 of Book 3 and contains the six episodes that wrap up both Season 3 and the series.

I'll probably get those in a couple weeks. I didn't even know the series had ended. *grumble* *grumble* Wife deleted those from the TiVo...

Thankfully she still hasn't deleted Xyber9 off there. I really need to plug a computer into that box and offload them. (What can I say? I'm a sucker for 80's/90's cartoons. I own Blackstar, Thundarr, and Bionic Six for crying out loud.)

As for DVDs my brain must have been lacking oxygen because I ordered a three-pack that contained all the Darkman movies.

Okay, the first season of Tiny Toons kinda sucked, but they were great after that! Here's hoping How I Spent My Vacation finally makes it to DVD!

Tiny Toon Adventures, eh? If you enjoy animation, next time we're at a con together, strike up a conversation with my partner Doug. He is a serious animation fan. He has thousands of movie-released toons plus I don't know how many made-for-TV ones. All the Disney animated features, and he's been collecting the Disney Treasures special releases. He has some of the freakiest stuff you ever laid eyes on ... yes, even you.
