I suspect Wired's review of the new PS3 game Siren: Blood Curse is more entertaining than the game. Certainly more entertaining than Sony's electronic distribution, which sounds as if it makes Steam look like handing a nickel over to the kindly grandfatherly guy at the candy store and he opens up the gumball jar for you.

Any new games we desperately need to know about, for good or ill?

Soul Calibur IV is a definite check in the good column. PS3 version has Darth Vader, 360 has Yoda. Make sense? Nope. Undeniablly cool? Oh yes.

Unfortunately there are far more older games I would reccomend. :)

They put both Darth Vader and Yoda into the game, but you won't be able to fight the one against the other? That's an utter load of crap.

Actually you'll be able, for a nominal fee of course, to purchase the other character for each game. The glory of micro-transactions.

Still looks like an awesome game though.

I'm playing Mass Effect for the PC and like it a lot. It feels like being a character in Babylon 5.

Sean and I play Age of Conan, not often enough, unfortunately. Again, feels a lot like the books--very adult.

That's what I hear about that game. I get the same vibe from the Warhammer MMO that's coming out (I got the chance to demo that at Origins). Personally I'm thinking Champions Online is going to be awesome sauce :) and I already play World of Warcraft, which is lots of fun.

That's as good a description of ME as a lot of stuff I've heard.

(I'm profoundly offended that I don't have ME2 and ME3 sitting in front of me right now. Damn you, uncaring universe!)

I'm getting ready to review a game for the Wii entitled "Blast Works." Build, trade, and destroy spaceships.

The box made it seem kinda like The Sims, but with cartoony interstellar cruisers. I'll let ya know.

I've been playing a lot of iTouch games since they started selling them a few weeks ago, especially since I found a good review site: http://toucharcade.com/

It's fun manipulating some of the games by tilting and turning the player itself, and a good way to spend time while waiting in a long line or riding the bus.

I can see possibilities for "Sony's Just A Four-Letter Word"...but I bet even non-filkers have thought of that one. :-)

Certainly, those of us who used to be quite happy buying stuff from Sonic Foundry....
