My leg brace is officially off.
I am allowed to flex my left leg as much as I comfortably can.
And I am allowed 50% weight-bearing.
Still a few more weeks and some very specific PT to handle basic functions, but... the true beginning of the beginning.
Tomorrow will be very interesting.
You?

Date: 2008-07-31 01:34 am (UTC)Take it easy on that leg of yours - the worst re-injuries are always the ones you commit when you think you're well again.
We've missed you :)

Date: 2008-07-31 01:43 am (UTC)Learn from my mistake: do not do a vigourous dance of joy about getting your brace off. That set me back at least a week.
(But actually it was kind of worth it. No brace? THE DANCE OF JOY CANNOT BE DENIED!)

Myself...I have to remove a 3.5mm object through a small hole in my body this week so I'll second your OWOWOW tag...

Date: 2008-07-31 02:42 am (UTC)I'm almost walking now. Well, I am walking, with a limp. And only a few weeks ago I was where you are now - that 50% weight-bearing stage. It's onwards and upwards from there.

Tomorrow I get to see my doc and see if I'm fit to keep driving a truck or if my multiple problems have caught up. On the plus-side, I submitted two novels and a short story for publication.

Date: 2008-07-31 03:19 am (UTC)Me? Very stressy. On the other hand, am realizing it is a LUXURY to be stressing over the things I'm stressing over. (Dublin upcoming, many things surrounding that, oh, and work is taking up time that I could be using to practice - oh, wait, work is that thing that *actually* pays the bills....)
*hug* Glad you're getting back.
