filkertomIt occurred to me this morning that I had been remiss in neglecting to tell you all about KittenCon last weekend. And then tcgtrf sent me a thank-you e-mail, and I said to myself, "Self," I said, "ya gotta do this more publicly."
So: A big honkin' Thank All Of You So Very Much totcgtrf, barbarakitten_t, ladycheron, her adorable granddaughter Lily, Anders, Kathy, and the fifteen or twenty other folks who were at KittenCon. It was lovely to Just Hang Out with folks all day, talking about whatever, playing Guitar Hero 5 on the Wii, enjoying fine food (Kathy's pasta sauce, Cheron's garlic bread, and I can't remember his name but dang he makes good waffles were standouts), singing for about two and a half hours Saturday night, Tom read a couple of his stories on Friday, Lily read me some of a book she's enjoying on Saturday, we all sat around being silly on Sunday, just a good ol' time.
I've got great friends. :)
So, friends, what's this weekend look like for you? Tom Underwood is coming over here tomorrow, and we're gonna catch him up on some of the animated direct-to-disk movies from the past year or so and maybe watch Zombieland as well. There will be pizza, oh yes, there will.

Date: 2010-04-17 01:18 am (UTC)Tomorrow we have arrangements with some friends to acquire free mulch at a community lot -- there is a guy with a frontloader twice a month who will pile in as much as your pickup truck will hold. We're going to collect as much as we can during the open hours for that. Usually we get 2-5 loads before the guy leaves and/or we're too tired to keep shoveling it out of the truck.

Cleaning my house. Basic relaxation and stuff...church and gaming on Sunday. Oh, yeah, and prepping for Spring Offensive (local gaming convention) which is next weekend.

Date: 2010-04-18 02:37 am (UTC)Tomorrow I have my Pulp-era RPG over Skype (hooray, after weeks of delay we're finally having a game). I also have to do the write up of my other PnP RPG session.
Oh, and I'm going to try and make some changes in my bedroom to make better use of space. What I'd love to be able to do once I'm employed again is to either get a small computer desk or a comfy chair and set it up in the bedroom. But right now I just don't have ROOM.
