There are many conservatives calling for Obama's birth certificate because they are sure he's not a US born citizen. It's also a jab at the fact that people are like "OMG he's a MUSLIM!"
I admit I don't find it offensive. It's such a blatant play on the wingnuts who make so much of Obama's middle name being Hussein, his father being Muslim, and his being born outside of the contiguous 48 states (he was born in Honolulu).
My girlfriend happens to actually BE living and working in "the very beating heart of Kenya," and it's called Nairobi. I'm pretty sure she'd have told me by now if there was actually a place called Kenyatown there.
