Sorry it's a lot political today, but the Season of the Whackos is in full swing, and the bullshit is coming fast and furious. This is a quick read, but well worth it.

I'm really beginning to think that there is something fundamentally damaged about these people, at the very least on a level where they cannot see their own hypocrisy.

Man, she must've really gotten under O'Reilly's skin...

O'Reilly's got the loosest skin in the business. You could get under it by telling him "good morning."

O'Reilly's got a hull of a gig going. He can say anything he wants and play act all he wants and there's always some asshats who take him seriously. I like that she maintained her dignity. You know how Loofah Bill will spin it, though...

So, Mr. and Mrs. Spears are in the wrong for failing to control Jamie Lynn and, through their negligence, allowing her to get pregnant out of wedlock.

However, Mr. and Gov. Palin are not in the wrong when Bristol ends up pregnant, also out of wedlock.

Bill insists that the circumstances are different. Okay, Bill, do tell, HOW exactly are the circumstances different? What difference is there between these two situations, aside from Sarah Palin being someone you want to trump up as a legitimate candidate for the second-highest executive office in the land?

The difference is Palin has an R after her name.

And the next time an R talks about respecting the troops, remember this (http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/30/gop.purple.hearts/).

I recently posted at length about how much of Bristol's pregnancy is Sarah's responsibility: http://tony-goldmark.livejournal.com/36580.html. I also got to roast a lazy sub-mental heckler in the comments, which was quite fun.

That's priceless.

Bill O'Reilly says: "There's nothing wrong with teen pregnancy as long as the parents are supervising it. So mom and dad, if you can't be in the room while your kid is having sex, then at least make sure you observe it through hidden cameras."

OK, he didn't say it. But he inferred it.

I've become convinced that they're actively trying to lose. They don't want to get indicted for what's coming down NEXT year.

The stats say it all. After the "boost" from the republican convention, the candidates are running neck-and-neck at 42% each. Independents and undecideds are most likely to go for Obama or not vote. Also, the boost tends to fade for the candidate of the second convention. I expect that 2 weeks from now, Obama will gain some in the polls, it will be a steady gain, and I predict he'll win by a 5% margin, approximately.

Oh please, God. I haven't hoped for anything so much since my cat had cancer and I prayed that she'd be alright.

Let's hope the undecideds go for Obama.

Okay, that's hilarious! "How dare you suggest that Sarah Palin didn't supervise her daughter during sex!!!"

Huh. I didn't know Alaska swang that way. Maybe I'll stay away from Alaska.

It's kind of impressive that ANYONE gets pregnant in Alaska; most wombs just freeze up.
