It was the very end that made me finally give up and cackle aloud.

I lost it at the second minute, when "Javert" shows up.

Ohhhhh-kay.

Y'know, some of the songs from that play are way too topical, especially "At the end of the day".

Not quite as pointed as the L.A. cast sitting backstage watching dumbfounded as the tanks rolled into Tianenmen Square, perhaps, but...yeah.

What's funny is that I was listening to the Les Mis soundtrack in the car (specifically, "Look Down") and was imagining a version with Barack as Valjean, thinking of the possibilities with him and McCain during "Confrontation." Then it struck me that McCain is in no way principled enough to be represented as Javert....

As long as they don't carry the idea to Les Mis's conclusion (rocks fall, revolutionaries die) I'm happy. :)

That was wonderful. I know every note of the Les Miz soundtrack, and I must say I was impressed by the timing.

I seem to recall things not ending particularly well for the majority of that chorus.

A very different song...

It's not Les Mes, but still entertaining;

Tears of laughter, man. TEARS. Augmented by memories of the parody of that number we used to sing in the Brody Complex dishroom at MSU.

"Eponine" bobbing up in the back at the end waving her arms just about broke me.

Oh, I wish I could show this to my fiancee--she's a theatre geek. Unfortunately, she's also anti-political, so saying anything good (or overly bad) about either side gets her riled up.
