Great dialogue...but were they walking while doing it?

Given how much dialogue there was, and the speed of the Sorkin-walk.

They probably made it from Vermont to Wisconsin.

Now that is the kind of fanfic I can get behind!

I hope Obama and Biden wipe the FLOOR with McCain and Palin during those debates.

Oh, I'm not worried about that. It's the elections I'm worried about.

Peter David has commented on the spooky "life imitates art" between the last season of WW and the campaign.

Here's one post that I had handy about it, but there are other, more detailed analyses he's put up that will really make your wonder just where Sorkin was getting his ideas:

Oh, there's a God, He's just waiting to see how deep she can dig her own pit.

Or me, mine.

I clicked through the Peter David link to the Lawrence O'Donnell West-Wingification of the Democratic convention. This may have been a mistake.

I can quite see the possibility that some people in the Democratic party might be so detached from reality that they would see handing this election to McCain as a good strategic move. I just hope to all the gods in heaven it isn't actually, you know, true.

It's not. But, man oh man, did the Corpulent Media try to sell that narrative in their coverage of the Dem convention. (The other thing they did was have a lot of Republican and conservative commentators during the Dem convention, while during the Repub convention they had... Republican and conservative commentators. But we've got a liberal media, doncha know.)
