We saw Death Note 2 last week. It wasn't as good as the first movie, partly because the dub sucked. It was entertaining in and of itself, but... Eh.

Anne and I saw it last week. I thought the dub was decent enough, although I prefer subtitles. And it was great seeing Kaga. And Nana Katase as Takeda... mmmmrrrrowwrr.

chronovius and I both prefer subtitles, but if something's going to be dubbed, dang it, put some effort into it! Make the intonation match the expression, don't just read the freakin' script! ... bah.

I have sent the link to my husband and our friend who went with us, who's a total Death Note fangirl. I'll likely hear the squee in 2 hrs, when she wakes up, 40 miles away. You evil, evil man.

Great song! It motivated me to finally watch Dr.Horrible (I know, I'm seriously behind in my fandom.)

One question, in the end where Dr.H walks into ELE as a full member and they cut back to how he was at the start of the story, does that mean it was all in his head or is it after the meeting where he contemplates what he's done or what?

BTW, I blame Captain Hammer for Penny's death. If he didn't try to kill Dr.Horrible after he was defeated, the gun wouldn't have exploded. But that's just me.

Not just you. Captain Hammer killed Penny. And I don't think it was in his head at all -- that was Billy, back in his private lab, out of costume, broken inside over Penny's death. Not that he ever would (or ever would dare) show that in public, least of all to the E.L.E.
