Christine Lavin's show Slipped Disks (on Sirius/xm Channel 15, "The Village") will have a new episode Tuesday, Nov. 18, at noon EST. (It's rerun Friday night at midnight.) She plays "Tech Support For Dad" near the end of the first half-hour.
I'm on da radio. :)
I've been thinking of getting a satellite radio anyway. Those of you who have 'em, what are your favorite channels and shows? And, otherwise, what are your favorite radio shows? Mine would be A Prairie Home Companion, The Thistle & Shamrock, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, and Car Talk. (And if you'd told me five years ago that last one would even be on the list, I'd've said you were crazy. Click & Clack are an acquired taste, and it took me awhile to acquire it.)
ETA: D'oh! And Thom Hartmann and Randi Rhodes. Ed Schultz, not so much.

Date: 2008-11-13 01:23 am (UTC)The Roadhouse (62, classic country) starts my day.
At 9:30 it's over to Radio Classics (118) for Gunsmoke.
Then at 10, it's Freewheelin' on 147, the Road Dog. Trucker talk on any number of subjects.
At 1, I tune in the first hour of Michaelangelo Signorile on OutQ (109) Terrific political program. And he gets some interesting guest authors.
At 2, I switch to Outlaw Country (63) for the Rigrocker and Hammer Down Radio, an hour of trucking music.
At 3, I go back to Michaelangelo
If I'm still out at 5, I usually switch between Blue Collar Comedy (103), Big 80's (8) and The Roadhouse.
