After an intolerable delay, no doubt the fault of that insufferable Richards, Doom has updated his main web site to reflect his schedule for next year, and to consolidate (and add several new) links to song files which, in his infinite magnanimosity, Doom has declared free of charge. You may now return to your regularly scheduled spontaneous and uncoerced adoration of Doom.

ETA: Doom hadn't mentioned Richard's involvement in the delay. The only possible reason for this is that Doom was distracted by his satisfaction at the eventual squashing of Richards like the insect he is.

This unworthy humbly requests that Doom attempt to get Doom's hands on a copy of "A Pirate's Night Before Christmas" and read it aloud for the joy and exultation of those who adore him.

I expect the accursed do-gooders would attempt to thwart any attempt to extract remuneration for such benevolence, but I still think it'd be pretty darned awesome.

(Also, I have a copy I'd be willing to mail you, but it might take a while 'cause I'd actually have to go to a postal shop - like many other children's books, it's oversized.)

Doom appreciates your efforts, child, and shall reward you commensurately. However, the indicated tome seems to be Temporarily Out Of Stock at most online retailers, for which they shall pay. Oh, HOW they shall pay!

No matter. Doom shall inquire at his local independent bookseller. For, though a grim and deliberate monarch, even Doom can understand -- even appreciate -- the temptation to say, "Arrr".

Doom extracts such recompense as Doom sees fit. But Doom does have a PayPal account.

Doom with a PayPal account seems counter-intuitive. Who, precisely, would be an equal of Doom to be considered a "pal"? Maybe Doom should have a PayOverlord account.

Or, more simply, PayDoom. No other accounts are required; all ultimately belongs to Doom in any csae.

Damn, no Anthrocon in 2009! Maybe we can get you to another Furry convention, though. These ones are where I'm heading to myself in addition to AC:

Furry Fiesta (http://www.furryfiesta.org) in Addison, TX (short trip from Dulles-Fort Worth) Feb 20-22nd.
Fur Affinity United (http://www.faunited.org) in New Jersey. No date set yet (it was set late august in 2008).

My unfortunate non-attendance at AnthroCon in 2009 is precipitated by their moving their date for the upcoming year, to the same weekend as InConJunction, to which I had already promised my attendance. It was especially frustrating, as I had in fact purchased my Anthro membership. Fortunately, Anthro is restored to a late June date for 2010, and I shall make every effort to be there.

Doom declares that Doomspeak is fun.

Much agreed. It was a shame not to have Doom appear in 2008, and 2009 is unfortunate since AC usually is around Independence Day (2008 was rather odd). I hope Doom has commanded Uncle Kage to refund Doom's membership or apply it for next year.

The Furry Fiesta minions who I have contact with are checking to see if there is room for a Doom appearance there.

Doom did indeed receive a refund, through the machinations of the ever-worthy [livejournal.com profile] giza. Doom notes that, except for this upcoming year, the past several Anthros have been in June. Bah! 'Tis no concern of Doom's! Doom walks where and when Doom wills!

I'll bring it up at the meeting tonight, but it's getting very close to the con now, plus our concert/dance schedule is pretty full: Bucktown Tiger will be performing on Friday night, Sub-Level 03 will be performing on Saturday night, and there will also be a dance on each of those nights. But I'll see what I can do.

While Richards does not normally take notice of quaint Latverian social customs (not being, after all, of Latverian stock), Richards is pleased to note the updating of Doom's Web site; it will make dealing with Doom's grandiose plans for world conquest far easier now that Doom has announced where and when his next several efforts will be concentrated.

It also pleases Richards to indulge Doom in this one small matter of personal vanity, if only because the very thought of Richards speaking in the glorious and unmistakeable cadences of Doom's own voice is highly likely to cause Doom's head to explode as he contemplates the irony.

Richards has spoken!

Doom had not considered Richards as a possible source of the delay. Doom was inclined to suspect that fool, Hauptman. While Hauptman has his uses, as intelligent minions do, he is prone to wandering off on his own projects, instead of doing what Doom requires.
