What-The-Hell? Con 2009

I'm heading out this morning with a lot of trepidation. A new con to me, What-The-Hell? Con in Greensboro, NC. That's not the really trepidatious part, though: In good weather it's about a ten-hour drive, but there's what looks like a buttload of snow basically along the whole route. I'm gonna get as far as I safely can today, and hope for the best.

I wanted to have some new stuff for you this morning, but it'll have to wait until I get back, most likely. We'll see.

Work, audio editing for a CD at home in the evenings, and hopefully listening to the UK filk convention over the internet this comming weekend.

How would I go about listening in on that con? Do they have streaming audio available to the general public or something?

Keep an eye out for word, if they offer it (sometimes its not offered) in the filk, filkhaven LJs. A link would be posted over the weekend. Some filk conventions don't have a broadcast.

Back at work after decompressing from the trip home from Conflikt. Only took me 45 minutes to go through all the various forms of mail that piled up, so I might be productive in a hurry.

Also feeling energized in that way that only a good con can make you feel. I hope this lasts a little while before work saps me.

Writing a simple program for an assignment today, then a computer club meeting tomorrow. The server we ordered arrived this week, so we have a bit of work to do, loading it with the OS we want and assorted software. Somewhere in there, I will also finish trying to fix my most recent desktop's power supply (dangerous, I know, but I discharge the capacitors through a toaster, so it should be reasonably safe).

I'm going to try and go through a bunch of DVDs. About 3 weeks ago when I bought my PS3, Best Buy had a sale on Married with Children box sets. So I got caught up on what was available. The problem is Season 6 (the one where they got o England) is defective. So I have to go there tonight and exchange it. I have to get through the rest of them while I still can get exchanges for any other defective discs.
