Continuity! 911 wasn't implemented in 1977.

Still and all, pretty cool!

Actually, 911 became the standard in 1968 and had become the standard in most metropolitan areas by the end of the seventies.

Really?!? Wow, L.A. must have been a very late adopter, then, because I remember the whole thing about 911 being implemented in '78 or '79. Unless I'm really badly misremembering things.

I love that we see Rorschach's face turn to a blank face. And get a question mark. A tip of the hat, I hope, to the inspiration for the Master of the Hurm.

I was going to say virtually the same thing, including the tip of the hat.

Use of a rotary telephone was a nice touch.

Since I'm a geek.

Public Law 95-111 is part of a DoD Appropriations measure.

And since I'm a geek law student.

Would Congress even have the power to declare vigilantism illegal? I mean, the States have the police power. At best, Congress might be able to do something like what it did with the drinking age, and use the spending power...

Or maybe it could be considered an effect on the commerce power. In 1977 they might have gotten away with that.

Don't forget that this isn't our timeline, its an alternate history, so many laws and technologies are completely different.

This could be the first time the extra promotional stuff for a movie was just as entertaining as the movie itself. That should be one hell of a DVD release, with two or more discs of nothing but Watchmen goodies.

Just had a thought. I know this guy, he's got this like superhuman ability to compose songs unnaturally fast, and when he plays at a convention the local crime rate goes down. Oh, sure, he _claims_ it's because the usual troublemakers (the trekkies, the LARPers, the furries, and the others of the underground crowd) are all at the conventions listening to him perform, but isn't that just what those vigilantes want you to think?

Should I call the authorities and tell them my suspicions?
