A little Whose Line? Rocky Horror:

And what would life be without Gene Gene the Dancing Machine?

Anything else out there that might brighten a day?

Bugger. The sound is just off enough on the video that it's distracting for me. (I did ballet well into high school.)

I've never been entirely sure whether the sound is off or if she's just that tiny tick behind, since it's so darn fast. But she's having so much fun I don't care. :-D

Hee! Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

Of all of them, though, I think my personal favorite is Allison's "Bloody". She is just wicked good with lyrics.

It started out in Britain, was freakin' amazing, and is rather different in the U.S. version but still amazing. And there's LOTS of it out there, so take your time and enjoy!

Specifically, you want to find the episode with Richard Simmons. It's all on YouTube (there may even be a link with the entire episode, IIRC), and you will laugh yourself SICK. Not recommended for asthmatics.

You can download the whole thing, she's releasing it under Creative Commons, so leave a tip and order the DVD when it comes out.

Woe and lament, for I am on dialup which has mysteriously slowed down of late.

Although even the reminder that there was such a man as Gene Gene the Dancing Machine prevents the frown from remaining on my face for long...

I think this song is a close cousin to "Walking Along the Beach". :-) And, of course, John Simm is clearly more joy per pixel than is legal in most jurisdictions...

(Spoiler alert for Doctor Who Season 3, various episodes)

(And yes, the video does match up with the song for a while starting at 1:29, go check the original scene if you're interested...)

So... it's taken me awhile to do this, but I found you because I was at the JoCo show in Ann Arbor, and I had spoken to Hope after the show. She told me to look you up in regards to the recording you did there. I'm very curious as to what Paul told your recorder. Also, did you release that recording anywhere or was that just for you and friends?

From: [identity profile] merlyntemple.livejournal.com
Yes, I did download that recording. I was mostly just curious because Paul whispered something specifically to Tom's recording early on and told us we'd all have to find his recording to see what he said.

Actually, I hadn't put it up anywhere, because the recording quality was very bad -- I had the gain too high on the microphones, and it was all overloaded. I've just extracted that bit (http://www.tomsmithonline.com/freestuff/oddio/PnS_somethingspecial.mp3), though, and I have to admit it was slightly disappointing: "Tom Smith from The FuMP... I'm farting."

Despite the disappointment, thanks for posting. Now that can stop driving me crazy. :) It sounds like the quality is okay as long as they're not singing. I bet you can hear me clear as day when I go up with the cake after "Still Alive".

This is one of my favorite "Whose Line" bits for you, Tom -- this is good, but the really special part starts about two minutes in. Maybe you've seen it before, but it's worth seeing again, and again...

And I just ran across this one recently, when one of my LexFA friends posted a link to it on Facebook. It's amazing and awesome and hilarious and sheep. And now we know what bored Welshmen REALLY do with sheep. Truth is SO much stranger than fiction!

And check out my YouTube page -- I've been working on video processing one of Marty's songs for a couple of months and it's pretty much done. (I've been trying out a lot of new things on it.) I'll keep one of the trial versions (they're posted private) available for you to see. I expect to have a public one within a day or two.
