Hadn't seen that second one. Somebody has to be engineering this stuff...the comedy gods just can't be that good to us!

I really think

That some of these people are that clueless because they are so wrapped up in their own petty selves too much to even consider having empathy for other people/groups & thus don't think to check if their "great idea" hasn't already been used - somehow.

Does make for great comedy though.

Ahh...I love people who don't do the basic research for what they are doing...they make life so much fun..

"...though presumably if he is being teabagged while doing so (the message is being delivered), it would be a bit muffled..."
Regarding Michael Steele not being invited to speak at the Chicago "Tea Party"

I was almost literally rolling on the floor at that moment.

1. Rachel Maddow, along with rest of us, clearly has a dirty mind! :))

2. It doesn't get any better than an interview about teabagging with someone named 'Cox'...

I hear that next year, the conservatives are planning on improving their "big tent" image by inviting latinos into the movement. They're going to have a whistle-stop tour through Ohio on an antique train, with reenactors playing the tunes of the Orquestro Jazz de Ohio, a 19th-century jazz band formed of latinos who, due to the rampant racism at the time, weren't allowed to buy new instruments, and had to scrounge whatever cast-offs they could find.

In short, they're going to have Dirty Sanchez playing the rusty trombone on the Cleveland Steamer.

the exploits of Rush.

Deferred from the draft because of a cyst on his @ss.

Became famous in talk radio, while he couldn't hear (well, that explains why he never listens).

That little do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do issue with drugs.

That little ahem blue pill that he didn't want anybody to know he was taking, and therefore gave more publicity than if he'd just done it legally.

"But he's just an entertainer!" (He sure is!)

Regarding the bigots at NOM, they're so non-tech savvy it's funny.
They kind of forgot to get the DOMAIN NAMES associated with their group.
So my friend [livejournal.com profile] cambler snatched up the domain name http://www.2m4m.org and has put up a site countering their bigotry with good info and sly parody, a friend of his got the name for an LJ community: http://community.livejournal.com/2m4m/ and they also have it on Twitter now.
Their site's started getting media attention and as more people are linking to it his site's starting to outpace NOM's site on searches about it. :-D
