Anthro and Liberty

AnthroCon, in Pittsburgh June 24-27, is no longer tentative. I'm gonna be there, both in the dealer's room and singing at least on Saturday.

And, I forgot to mention that I am indeed going back to LibertyCon in Chattanooga July 9-11.

On other fronts, s00j is coming back to Ann Arbor June 3, and Christine Lavin returns to the Ark June 5. I hope to be at both.

Any other con dates, house parties/concerts, or other fannish special events you'd like to promote? Even I can't keep up with everything.

Actually, at this point that is precisely the plan. :) I should be arriving Wednesday evening, staying at the Doubletree, and leaving Monday. It was a fantastic time when I went in 2006, and I want more.

:) I don't have much traffic there. I basically post there and have it automatically crossposted to LJ, so I can do both at once. Same reason I'm using Ping.fm to keep up with Twitter, my two Facebook pages, the iTom blog, MySpace, and LinkedIn simultaneously.

I am contemplating it, and you being there is one of the things in its favor. :) The only problem is, it's a heck of a hike. Dunno if I can justify it. We'll see, but not likely at this point.

hmm... Maybe you can do a house concert or two enroute to help defray the travel costs? (Spread word and see what happens) (Unfortunately, I am not enroute or I would offer the space.)

Well, since I can promote...I'll be DJing at the World Steam Expo at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn over Memorial Day weekend for 3 dances. Friday night will be the steampunk/goth/techno/industrial night, Saturday night I'll be teaming with Harpnotic for the formal Masquerade Ball playing waltzes, fox trots and more, and Sunday night will be a free-for-all.

These gigs are going to be unlike anything I've ever done before, and it promises to be a good time, so come on by and say hello!
