Usually by this time I've got Pimp Your Stuff Thursday up and posted. But I'm doing household chores this morning, and I have to find everything from the con that I wanted to pimp, and and and. Most likely this evening. Best thing I've got offhand is Big Fish Games' $2.99 Daily Deal (only open to members), which today is the fantastic World of Goo.

Meantime, if you have any products or good causes you want to promote, ready... set... Pimp Your Stuff!

Well, the sponsorship period is over, and preorders aren't up yet, but I just want to say how very impressed I am with what I'm hearing out of [livejournal.com profile] s00j's forthcoming album, Mischeif (http://s00j.livejournal.com/tag/mischief) (link is to that tag in her LJ, under which she's been posting "behind the music" stories... "Cheshire Kitten", "Were-Owl", "The Truth about Ninjas", and "Neptune" are up...

And coolio on the Big Fish stuff; [livejournal.com profile] annathepiper will be pleased to see that up :)

My pleasure. BFG has a lot of things that aren't for me -- I'm simply not a fan of hidden-object games -- but the stuff I do like, I love. And they have a few of the biggest and best Popcap games, e.g., Plants Vs. Zombies, for $6.99 rather than $10.00 or $15.00 or $20.00.

Indeed we do. ;) I love that thing enough I've downloaded a PC version AND a Mac version AND the version for iPhone! Yay, zombies!

I am told World of Goo is way fun, though. That's not one of our in-house games but it's well spoken of on my team!

Goo is fun!
So is Plants vs Zombies. I got both of them for cheap in a sale early this year.

The game I own in about as many variants (or possibly more) as you own of P vs Zs is Galaga. Still love that one!

WoG is a superb original puzzler with amazing graphics and even better music. :) One of those things like Crayon Physics Deluxe that you look at and say, "Damn, that's clever." And then you start playing and you say, "Damn, that's fun."

Very cool. :) Games with neat music are always a win; that's one of the many reasons I love me some Plants Vs. Zombies!

I'll have to spend a game club credit on World of Goo at some point, clearly.

I luurrve my BFG membership. Waiting until the 26th each month for my credit is nerve-wracking. There's only 2 things I've ever wished for: that games without demos say if they are 3D, free motion sorta games (pass me the dramamine) and that the demos were 90 minutes instead of 60.

I'm a huge BFG fan... I love my emails from you guys. And I love playing the betas... and everything else. And I've been waiting for World of Goo to be on $2.99. (I'm in the middle of two RPGs from you right now, though, so it may be awhile before I actually play it. I love the RPGs.)

While they don't have a presence in the U.S. (yet), The White Ribbon Campaign (http://www.whiteribboncampaign.co.uk/) deserves some attention. And maybe someone might be willing to set up a U.S. chapter.

I got a personal cause, this week. (If you feel this isn't in fitting, feel free to delete)

On Tuesday morning my daughter was born by emergency C-Section, 15 weeks early. She is a micro-premie, weighing in at 12 ounces currently, 11.5 ounces at birth.

From what we can see, there are going to be expenses we have no clue about, and on top of that we were going to be gathering the last of the baby stuff over the next three months, as we approached full gestation.

Firstly, any prayers/goodthoughts for Baby Amber are more than welcome. She's a fighter, but this is gonna be a long battle.

Second, the pimp part, if anyone is willing or able to help out, it is very appreciated. We have a donate button set up on one of my posts, and my wife's LJ.

Donate button can be found here: http://louisadkins.livejournal.com/209909.html

Regardless if anyone can help, thanks for the good thoughts.

WoG and PvZ are both wonderful addictive games!

I'm new here, just met Tom this past weekend. Hope this is what you're looking for:

I'm a musician that's been doing shows in Second Life (and writing songs about it and other phannish (and non) subjects) for going on 5 years now. Kaklick Martin if you want to search in events. I do a show most every Friday at the Luxor Amphitheatre in Laurel Arts at 8pm PDT.

I have a website that can explain more: http://ka-klick.com where most of my catalog is available via streaming, with links to places you can buy anything you take a fancy to.

Have I ever handed you a copy of Night Calls (http://www.amazon.com/Night-Calls-Katharine-Eliska-Kimbriel/dp/0061054119) and insisted you read it? If I haven't, consider this my strong recommendation that you find a copy and read it. This is one of the top 5 books that changed how I view the world. The main character, Alfreda, has a couple other stories out there (Kindred Rites (http://www.amazon.com/Kindred-Rites-Katharine-Eliska-Kimbriel/dp/0061057967/ref=pd_sim_b_1) and a short story in Wings of the Morning (http://www.amazon.com/Wings-Morning-Katharine-Eliska-Kimbriel/dp/1893687678/ref=pd_sim_b_2)). The author of these amazing stories is a lovely woman named Katharine Eliska Kimbriel, whom you can find here on LJ as [livejournal.com profile] alfreda89.

If you happen to be heading to SoonerCon (http://www.soonercon.com/), you have a chance to be in an Alfreda story. Yep, Ms. Kimbriel is offering a chance for one of her fans to be written into one of her stories. I am so wishing I could go to SoonerCon, just for this chance, but since I can't, I figured I'd pass along the information for anyone else who might be interested.

Check out Ms. Kimbriel's offer here (http://alfreda89.livejournal.com/433384.html)

Not exactly mine to pimp...but a whole lot of goodness....

http://www.decoderringtheatre.com

Mystery men drama for a new age. Old time radio done in a new time format (podcast). Also, kick ass detectives who also take names...

All served up on the first and the fifteenth of the month.

I adore these podcasts...especially "Adventures of the Red Panda"...

They are going into their summer showcase time. This year, they are mixing it up a bit by doing something called "Play it Again" where they completely shake up the whole cast on some of their classic shows...noone playing the character they did in the show...just to see how it works out. Previous summers have included space opera, detective stories, ghost stories, and comedy and all kinds of mayhem.

This looks fascinating. One of the things I loved about the sadly-defunct Adventurers' Club at Walt Disney World's Pleasure Island was that the cast would switch around from night to night (presumably to keep themselves fresh and not go insane), so that someone who played the butler one night might be the club treasurer the next, or the aviatrix, maid, and club president might've been swapped out for each other....

I write things. I edit things. I do a Poetry Fishbowl once a month where you can give me ideas for writing poetry and sponsor what I produce if it sounds cool. I also write for the [livejournal.com profile] torn_world shared world, where you can sponsor fiction. Want to see more about a particular character, character type, or scenario? If it fits some part of the setting, ask me.
