Already there, actually. ;) Opening ceremonies at 6:00, a concert tonight at 11:00, a kids' concert at 1:00 tomorrow, and another set 1:00 Sunday. And I'll be selling out of my room (213). Sadly, two guests will not be here; Chris Christopher cancelled just this afternoon, and Artist GOH Darrell K. Sweet could not make it, as his wife had a heart attack earlier this week. She should recover; we wish them both well. Fortunately, the con got ahold of Beth Willinger to fill in, and her husband B.J. is coming along. I haven't seen them in years.

Who else is gonna be there? Or, if not, what are you doing this weekend?

I'll be busy recording episodes of PodCulture with the rest of the crew plus recording and editing a new episode of The GeekSpin as well. Then to top it all off Christina and I are gonna sit down and watch all five episodes of Torchwood: Childern of Earth straight thru. That is my plan for the weekend.

Going with my daughter, and our Saturday night gaming group to BDP SummerCon, a weekend gaming con at Adrian College. This con, five years running, commemorates the life of Mike "Big Daddy Pie" Pyorala, a buddy of the group's GM, Eric Spahr. Might even run a game- I ran one there two years ago, went so bad that I passed on the con last year, but damn it, I'm rarin' to go now!

I'm here and looking forward to your show. It was a longer drive from Hotlanta than usual due to rush-hour commuters flooding homeward, but since I can't make it to Shore Leave or DC where my sweetie is landing tomorrow night, LC is a decent substitute.

We're in Stratford, Ontario. This afternoon's matinee was "Cyrano", a very good production overall, with a brilliant lead performance by Colm Feore. This evening we saw "The Importance of Being Earnest", which was every bit as perfect as I could have hoped for. Brian Bedford was wonderful in both his direction and his performance as Lady Bracknell. Every member of the cast was a joy to watch, and everyone got laughs. In particular, Ben Carson and Mike Shara are two of the best new leading men Stratford's seen in years.

No cons for me till Worldcon.

Spending the weekend - visiting family, fixing my sister's laptop (she managed to break the screen), upgrading a laptop I DID trade for a couple of weeks back (waiting for the ram to arrive. The battery and airport cards already showed up and are installed. If the ram had come in, I would have been testing the battery as a movie on the road trip), and updating my web page (and announcing the new Roberta Rogow CD that is releasing at Shore Leave this weekend. It was finished and delivered Thursday morning.)

I also should contact the person with most of the addresses for the contributor copies to get out early next week. (After I finish burning, printing and assembling them that is... I have to make more CD-Rs including MY copy. Others come first.)

Running 40k's 'Ard Boyz tournament here at the store while trying very hard to not go out in the 110 degree heat outside. Since the monsoons have started this is not a dry heat.
