I literally should've had these up a month and a half ago, and I have a few more to finish... but the one-huge-file, completely-uncensored versions of DemiCon 2010, ConText 2011, and all three shows at Dragon*Con this year are now available at TSO. I'll have the rest of the darn things up by Sunday, and then e-mail them to the nice folks who paid for 'em a few weeks ago, and then work on the fancy-schmancy upload versions to Bandcamp.

Oy.

Okay, a big, big question: I keep thinking about how to make this a more steady income stream. Sorry to put it so boldly, but there it is. I've been going nuts on this, and it (among other things) has got in the way of my actually producing any new music, because I'm too buy trying to pay the bills. And it really got in the way of the ambitious sponsorship program I wanted to put together, because I came up with what I thought were decent baselines, but no easy way to implement it.

So.

If I put things up as a PayPal subscription, wherein for, say, five bucks a month, you are guaranteed at least six to eight convention recordings and two new albums a year, would you find that reasonable?

If not, do you have any ideas for alternatives?

Thanks.

ETA: A couple of things. As [profile] jss1113 pointed out to me, "guarantee" is a strong word. Perhaps I should have phrased it as, "I'm going to probably ten cons a year, and I'll record all the shows. If you're likely to get at least four, and more likely six to eight, concerts and probably two albums' worth of songs per year, would you sign up for a $60 annual subscription?"

And, yes, I certainly could make it a six-month subscription, costing $30 or possibly $35.

And, yes, I certainly could make it a one-shot payment rather than a subscription.

What I am looking for is feedback not only on the pricing, not only on whether you'd sign up, but how much new content you'd like in a year. As far as the live shows go, I've had a pretty consistent set list for the past three years, but I've also been having a blast changing things up, improv'ing songs, and bantering with audiences, which I like to think adds a lot of flavor to each show. If that's not the case, I'd better know now.
