This is cool, but at :58 there's something that looks an awful lot like a completed Washington Monument, something never seen in Abraham Lincoln's lifetime. (Check the Washington Monument Wikipedia page for a Matthew Brady photograph of how the Monument would have looked to President Lincoln.)
But I guess if you can have Abraham Lincoln hunting vampires, you can have a Washington where the Know-Nothings didn't manage to hijack the monument's construction and it got done in a reasonable number of years.
I noticed that immediately, and went to the Wikipedia page, finding out that it was built between 1848 and 1884. I'm curious as to when the exterior was finished, although I'd presume it would be closer to the latter date. It's also possible that they'll show construction on the other side.
Naaaaaah. Continuity Cop was at the donut shop again. :D
You can tell where construction stopped on the Washington Monument during the Civil War. The source of the limestone changed after the war, leaving a clear line about half way up the monument.
