DOCTOR WHO Spoiler Thread
Jun. 6th, 2010 09:56 amThe new ep on BBC America is either 5 x 07, "Amy's Choice", or 5 x 08, "The Hungry Earth"; the newest downloadable is 5 x 10, "Vincent and the Doctor".
ETA: I was up VERY late last night, thanks to the tornado warnings and generally shitty weather out Ann Arbor way. All I know is, I downloaded "Vincent and the Doctor". Thanks to
jmthane and
markbernstein for setting me straight.

His episodes harken back to the Pertwee days. Lots of real history and running mysteries plus a entourage of companions and friends.
Vincent and the Doctor
Date: 2010-06-06 04:00 pm (UTC)I liked Vincent and his portrail. The Doctor kinda bugged me about his rush, what's five minutes of patience to a Time Lord? (Opening scene). I will take it they had an English guide at Musee D'Orsay for the English visitors, so speaking of Pounds instead of Euros would relate to the room more.
I've been getting into Classic Doctor Who these days and finding a lot of stories I did not see back when I thought I was catching a lot on Channel 62 and later, PBS.
Re: Vincent and the Doctor/(Hungry Earth/Cold Blood)
Date: 2010-06-06 05:40 pm (UTC)This Doctor was here during the time periods of two other Doctors already, 2008, first adult Amy (age 19); 1999?, child Amy (age 8), and a future Doctor could be around in 2020 (Hungry Earth/Cold Blood).

Date: 2010-06-06 07:37 pm (UTC)We were out and about until 9pm PDT, and I didn't start the torrent until around 10. We were watching it before midnight.

They are terrific for current shows; I don't use them for archival material, so don't know how they are with it. They deliver all their shows as multi-part RAR files, so you'll need WinRAR or 7Zip or something that handles RAR archives.
