For all you nice folks wondering if I'm gonna get out to New England anytime soon... yes. I just confirmed Pi-Con, Aug. 20-22 in Enfield, CT. Wouldn't have happened if not for partiallyclips -- thanks, Rob. :) And we might end up putting on a full-blown FuMP show.

Yeah, this one's becoming very likely indeed. (Now, I just need to figure out transportation...maybe my parents, or my grandparents, won't need their car that weekend.)

Yay! I'll be there. OK, I was going to be there anyway (not only is it a great con, but attendance is sort of mandatory when one's SO is on ConCom). But now I'm looking forward to Pi-Con even more! (Also, now I'll have an easier time convincing others to come. FuMPy goodness!)

Leaning toward attending. It'll depend on finances, as always -- but it's well within driving range, and the kids will be out of school, so time off is only for the APs.

Aw man, both you and Rob Balder at the same con and nearby? I wish my kids were just a little bit older (ages 6 and 2, respectively), but it doesn't look like there'd be much for them to do. Or am I wrong? Any other folk/filkers with kids go to cons?

I'd contact the convention and see if they have any provisions for child care. If so, there's usually lots for them to do. I know Devo has kids, but I suspect they'll be staying home with Mom.
