If you somehow haven't heard of Big Daddy, you really should. Their schtick is mash-ups: 50s and 60s arrangements of 80s and 90s rock songs. They redid the entire Sgt. Pepper album; they have a fantastic a cappella doo-wop cover of Culture Club's "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me"; they have The Best Final Chord Evar in their version of Lionel Ritchie's "All Night Long".
They did a rockabilly version of "Purple Rain", fer cryin' out loud.
So. They have a Kickstarter for their newest project, Smashing Songs of Stage and Screen, which will cover songs from movies and Broadway. Problem is, they want to raise $35,000, and they're only just over halfway there. I think the problem is word not getting around.
Won't you help?
