Enjoying my last day of winter vacation. (Between company holidays and PTO I've been on vacation since the 20th, though I've been working a bit from home.)
Rang in the New Year at a local First Night celebration.
Think I will be starting to post from this side of the world, given LJ's behavior over the past week.
Right now, achy and weak after pushing myself too hard to finish Mom's Christmas shopping for her yesterday. (My brother, sister, spice-in-law, and kids are coming to Mom's house today to exchange gifts on the 8th day of Xmas, because my siblings spent the 1st day of Xmas with their respective in-laws.)
At the same time, pleased that I got my tracks recorded for ten tunes on our next album -- I'm one with the banjo and classical guitar tracks, and just have four or five folk guitar tracks to lay down, two 6-string and two or three 12-string tracks. After that, I just wait for all my bandmates to get their turns in the studio.
So in another week or so, maybe I can turn my attention to finishing and transcribing some compositions I've had mostly-completed in my head. And nudging my bandmates to be thinking of what should be on the album after the one we're recording now.
Everyone here is still breathing. I got through the holidays and finished my year-end and year-beginning posts. I wrote over 500 poems last year; that was pretty awesome.
